چکیده

This paper presents the implementation and performance evaluation of our proposed BGP-GCR+ routing architecture via simulation in ns-2. BGP-GCR+ consists of three components: (1) a two-level hierarchical, non-overlapped, one-node fault-tolerant routing algorithm for large-scale mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs), (2) an IPv6-based address stateless auto-configuration scheme, and (3) procedures at Internet gateways between autonomous systems (ASs) to select backup or loadbalancing routes through MANETs. We have implemented the first component of BGP-GCR+ into ns-2 for the performance evaluation. The simulation results show that the packet delivery ratio in BGP-GCR+ is slightly lower than that in the ad-hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) for the high-mobility, small-scale (50-150 nodes), but slightly higher for the medium-scale (200 nodes) MANETs. Moreover, the routing overhead is lower in BGP-GCR+ compared with AODV. The implementation of other components of BGP-GCR+ in ns-2 and the mapping of medium access control (MAC)-related metrics into the link stability of the cluster construction in BGPGCR+ for quality of service (QoS) support, their performance evaluations are subject to our future researches. Keywords-MANETs, routing, backup, load-balancing, address auto-configuration.

Secure Routing Protocol: Affection on MANETs Performance

In mobile ad hoc networks, the absence ofinfrastructure and the consequent absence of authorizationfacilities impede the usual practice of establishing a practicalcriterion to distinguishing nodes as trusted and distrusted.Since all nodes in the MANETs would be used as router inmulti-hop applications, secure routing protocols have vital rulein the security of the network. So evaluating the perf...

Comparative Performance Analysis of AODV,DSR, TORA and OLSR Routing Protocols in MANET Using OPNET

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are receiving a significant interest and are becoming very popular in the world of wireless networks and telecommunication. MANETs consist of mobile nodes which can communicate with each other without any infrastructure or centralized administration. In MANETs, the movement of nodes is unpredictable and complex; thus making the routing of the packets challenging....

Vehicular Ad hoc networks are a subset of mobile Ad hoc networks in which vehicles are considered as network nodes. Their major difference is rapid mobility of nodes which causes the quick change of topology in this network. Quick changes in the topology of the network are considered as a big challenge For routing in these networks, routing protocols must be robust and reliable. AODV Routing pr...

Multipath Node-Disjoint Routing with Backup List Based on the AODV Protocol

In recent years, routing has been the most focused area in ad hoc networks research. On-demand routing in particular, is widely developed in bandwidth constrained mobile wireless ad hoc networks because of its effectiveness and efficiency. Most proposed on-demand routing protocols are built and relied on single route for each data session. Whenever there is a link disconnection on the active ro...
